Locator Classic
The Locator classic is the original aluminium picture rail. Still our best seller, it lends itself to any interior and looks great under a cornice at home, under ceiling tiles in an office or even down from the ceiling line as a stand-alone rail.
Our new Locator classic rail is a refined design for 2020. The new rail profile has a greater wall thickness than it's predecessor for strength and is manufactured to higher tolerances for a perfect click onto the fixings. Squarer edges make filling the top of the rail to a cornice or ceiling-grid neater.
The Locator classic is supplied with three fixings per metre which is enough to fix directly into studs when installing to a plaster wall. Masonry plugs are free of charge when added to the cart and Wallmates should be used in addition to stud fixings (usually when studs are 600mm apart).
The Locator range of picture rails come as standard in Powder coated white or Clear-anodised silver. There is a colour-matching service to any Dulux powdercoat colour which is at an extra cost.
The picture rails use additional connectors to join them when necessary making a continuous, in-line rail. The connectors are used at the time of installation. Colour-matched endcaps are also available which can be added or removed when needed.
Fixings are screwed into the wall first and the Locator classic is clicked over them, concealing the screw-heads at the same time.
